Winter Girl: An Evening with Małgosia Bela

Rather than a traditional retrospective, Winter Girl offers a deeply personal reflection on Bela’s life in fashion. Combining nearly one hundred photographs with autobiographical texts written by Bela herself, the book becomes a sincere and intimate story about identity, growing up, and creative freedom.

The title of the book originated from a phrase once said by her agent: “Listen, Malgo, just relax… You’re just more of a winter girl.” Over time, those words became a symbol of Bela’s restrained elegance and timeless aesthetic.

Created together with publisher Filip Niedenthal, Winter Girl is not a conventional autobiography, but a tribute to the art of image-making, creative collaboration, and the people behind fashion’s visual culture.

The presentation became one of the memorable cultural moments of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Tbilisi, highlighting the platform’s commitment to creating dialogue between fashion, literature, photography, and contemporary art.
