GEORGIAN ON MY MIND

On September 18 at 9:00 PM, Factory Tbilisi will present a special musical project, GEORGIAN ON MY MIND. The concert is a collaborative project by Giorgi Gigashvili, one of the most distinguished pianists of Georgia’s contemporary music scene, and Nini Nutsubidze.

The project brings together classical music, contemporary experimental sound, and Georgian folk traditions. Its central concept is to reinterpret Georgia’s musical heritage within a contemporary cultural context, offering audiences a fresh and multilayered perspective. The melodic structures and distinctive intonations characteristic of Georgian music are reimagined here as part of a living and constantly evolving creative process.

Giorgi Gigashvili’s artistic career has taken him to some of Europe’s leading concert venues, including Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, Wiener Konzerthaus, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, and other international platforms. His approach combines the traditions of classical music with contemporary artistic thinking, giving each of his projects a distinctive character. His musical dialogue with Nini Nutsubidze invites audiences to experience Georgian identity beyond the boundaries of tradition and to discover it from an entirely new perspective.
